BuBuCheek, Cute and Chic

I think Lady Gaga is a trip! She’s fun, unique, and refreshingly over the top. Somehow last month I ran across this Lady Bubu shirt from Bubucheek and quickly snatched one up!

Lucky for you they have reprinted the Lady Bubu. Probably because it has a great mass appeal that goes beyond Gaga herself. The shirt has a vneck that isn’t so low that you’ll hang out of it, but is low enough to be flattering for large busts. The cotton is super thin. It has a true-to-size slim fit and is a bit longer to cover your hips. I scrunched mine a bit at the bottom to keep it near jeans-pocket length.

After sharing the Bubucheek website with my friend Ellie, she got the Junkyard shirt. Appropriate for her, because she has been taking canvas tote bags to the grocery store since at least 1980 – the original Green Girl! Here’s what she had to say about it:

“I took a yoga class in the Bubucheek Junkyard Tshirt. It wears great – moved with me effortlessly, didn’t ride or bunch up.

I like the overall design of this shirt. It’s a great cocoa color that matches a lot of my clothes, with a big graphic. The v-neck is low enough to be feminine but high enough to not reveal too much cleavage, even while bending and twisting in yoga class.

The fabric is super soft, just lightweight enough to be comfy without feeling flimsy. It also has a nice stretchiness to it. It is form fitting but not clingy (you can’t see my belly button through it, and to me that’s a good thing). It could be layered with a cami, but you don’t have to. The extra long length is stylish.”

The word Bubucheek was made up by the company founders and their friends. It stands for sex appeal, confidence, and a positive attitude of your own self image.
