The first time I ever visited Las Vegas, I went for a bachelor party. Since I was traveling on frequent flier miles, I had to arrive 2 days before the other guys to avoid blackout dates. When I arrived I called the bachelor and told him how impressed I was about the different styles of cocktail waitress costumes.

“You have to go to the Mandalay Bay”, he told me, “they wear thongs there”.

So, I set out in wonder exploring casino after casino that first night. When I finally arrived at the Mandalay Bay, I slowly descended via escalator to the casino floor. About halfway down, I spotted a cocktail waitress. I couldn’t help but laugh. Yes, she was wearing a thong but it looked as though someone had fashioned grandma’s curtains into a thong. I was reminded of that moment when I first saw this thong from the butterflies collection by Claire Pettibone.

Now, don’t get me wrong, this thong is much better than the Mandalay Bay variety. It’s quite intricately fashioned in a very detailed floral pattern. It might be a little buys for the taste of some, but you have to admit that it’s different than your average thong. The waistband is made from comfortable wide lace. The low rise is perfect for today’s low rise everything. So, give it a try and check out the rest of the butterflies collection while you’re at it.
