Swimwear on the Runway

In a tough Summer for concerts and events, Project ETHOS, incubator project for emerging artists in fashion, music and art, rolled out its 13th red carpet on July 16 at The Music Box Theater in Hollywood.

Amongst the fashion were some swimwear designers.

bvikaCo-designers Valerie Y. Mamane and Ambika Sanjana of the fashion line B.Vika, known for fusing South-East Asian and North African styles, with urban American  trends, provided eastern flair with peacock feather printed bikinis paired with hoodies and eccentric accessories.
katoreyKatie Struve of Katorey Swim showcased a collection of 2 piece swimwear with bright corals and turquoise as a running theme. Their very wearable pieces are constructed from high quality fabric and manufactured in the good old USA – great for bikini loving girls everywhere!

Over 1,200 guests came out for Project ETHOS, including a record 50 buyers and curators attending as well as dozens of fashion outlets and wardrobe stylists. A rumored 5 art pieces were sold as well.
