Mirla Sabino had the opportunity this past week to show off her amazing design skills by dressing Orbit gum spokes model Raquel Jimenez.

Mirla Sabino, the designer for ANK swimwear, created a custom made monokini for the “Chica Orbit” and showed it off with her collection at the Mercedes Benz Miami Swim Week.

The white halter triangle bra has a blue under-bust stripe that tied around back - echoed by a blue stripe down the tummy. Monokinis are great because cut-out sides show off gorgeous curves at your narrowest area while covering the tummy, often a problem spot for women.

Here the gorgeous Raquel walks down the runway in the Blue and White monokini showing off her tush - where Mirla decided the Orbit logo fit best!

Mirla Sabino launched the Cruise 2010 collection of her ANK swim and resort wear line inspired by the Caribbean Islands at Mercedes Benz Miami Swim Week. Just like the monokini, many rounded shapes and scalloped edges meant to mimic waves were seen in her collection. Color-blocked coral, fuchsia, burgundy, sea blue and green dominated her color palette. Updated touches include suspender trims, multicolored stones and gold and silver-plated hardware that stays cool to the touch.
