It’s been almost 3 months since I disclosed my lifelong fear of pajamas, so I thought it was about time for an update.  Last month, Rachel and our daughters were kind enough to give me two pairs of pajamas for my birthday.  One pair was a great green pair of Patterned sleep bottoms from Old Navy.  The other: Knit pajamas from Calvin Klein.

Both are cool cotton, an important element in our warm climate.  The Old navy pajamas have a thick draw string.  They’re slightly stiffer than the Calvin Klein pajamas, but they’re pretty soft and very comfortable.  The Calvin Klein pajamas are more loose fitting than the OldNavy pair, and they’re extremly comfortable.

I took both pairs on vacation with me.  I thoroughly enjoyed putting them on after a day at the beach.  Hanging out in the Calvin Kleins on our balcony overlooking the beach with a glass of OJ in the morning was extraordinarily relaxing.  Slipping them on after a hot shower following a day at the theme park was also just what the doctor ordered. 

 Though I’d hardly call myself obsessed with pajamas, I’m certainly cured of my pajamaphobia and I’d recommend both styles of pajamas to all the guys out there.
