5 Patterned Pantyhose for the Fall

Cette Picadilly Lozenge TightsBack in August, we pointed out that wearing patterned hosiery is a great way to add a little spice to your wardobe as the temperatures begin to cool. Now that we’re well into the fall season, we thought we’d point out some of the fun patterns that are catching our eyes. These five pantyhose patterns are varied enough that you’re sure to find one that works with just about any outfit in your closet.

1) Cette Picadilly Lozenge pattern fishnet pantyhose. If you’re looking for the ultimate in varying textures, go with these. They feature an over-sized diamond motif that is classically presented in multiple textures and opacities. The centerpiece of the repeating pattern is a large fishnet diamond that is surrounded by an opaque diamond and a semi-sheer diamond. These pantyhose are made from nylon and spandex with a natural cotton gusset.

Jonathon Aston Disco Diva Devore Baroque Pantyhose2) Jonathon Aston Disco Diva Devore Baroque Pantythose. Pantyhose certainly do not get any more ornate that this. The pattern on these Jonathon Aston beauties is reminiscent of the scrollwork you might find in a 17th century Italian church. The style is created using an opaque pattern over a sheer background. Be careful to pair these with something simple. The pattern on these pantyhose is all the statement you need. They’re perfect for some of the monochromatic looks that are popular this year. Unfortunately, they are available only in black.

Pretty Polly Argyle Opaque Pantyhose3) Pretty Polly Argyle Opaque Pantyhose. If Baroque era architectural ornimentation is not your ideal method of adorning your legs, you might want to try a more toned down pattern such as this argyle look from Pretty Polly. The argyle pattern is opaque throughout and the extra thickness may be just what you need for a cold morning commute to the office. The pattern is certainly subtle enough to be appropriate for most work environments. They are available in brown and black.

Cette Chicago Fancy Pantyhose4) Cette Chicago Fancy Pattern Tight. If you miss the 60′s, you’ll be happy to see this “far-out” look from Cette. These tights are covered in a hypnotizing pop-art pattern that would make Austin Powers proud. They’re not 100% retro, though. You won’t find them in pink, purple, yellow, red, blue or green. They’re available only in black and brown, so keep your tie dyed mini dresses in the cedar closet and reach for something a little more modern if you’d like to give these a try.

Jonathan Aston Herringnet Pantyhose5) Jonathon Aston Herringnet Pantyhose. These fishnets with a twist are designed for all day comfort with a herringbone pattern and a cotton touch feel. They’re available in black, brown and nude. Though not as simple as the argyle pattern above, these herringbone pantyhose are probably still a safe bet for the office.

Now that the fall weather has kicked in, it’s time to stay fashionable and keep those legs warm! Treat them to some flair this year and ditch the old standby pantyhose for something with a pattern every once in a while.
