Product Review - Lands End PJs

Lands End PJsThese are my new pajamas. Honestly, I have not slept in them yet, because in Florida I won’t need to sleep in these until late December — or later. But I have worn them many times. Why? This is the new thing I put on at 6pm when I get home from work at the end of the day. I cook in them, quiz the kids on their study stuff in them, scrapbook in them, fold the laundry — and all those other things that get squeezed in after work but before bed.

The simple, long-sleeve top has pintucking on the chest for a feminine detail. The sleeves stay up when I push them up or fold them up - a must when washing dishes. I hate when my sleeves get all wet around the edges. The 100% cotton interlock is super soft and heavier than a t-shirt, no see-through worries here. The top falls to mid hip. The pants haved an all-around elastic waist. All in all, they are a basic jammie that can be worn in front of anyone and while lounging around.

Mine are the ones shown, with heathered stripes of lavender, blue and grey; but there is also a red and white striped that reminds me of candy canes and winter holidays. There is a red and white snowflake pattern and a heather grey/ivory stripe set too.

These are perfect for winter dormwear or loungewear. The pants would need to be hemmed if you are under 5′2″. The top falls away from the body under the pintucking, so you could even wear these through the first few months of pregnancy.

Tops and bottoms are sold separately, so you can also purchase the sleeveless top and pair the pants with that in warmer months. The nightgown from the line can be found here. It is a great LONG gown.

My daughter got these PJs. She’s 11 and everyone is having sleepovers this year. She kind of does what I do - she hangs out with her girlfriend in these PJs, but then she actually sleeps in a tshirt. These cover everything, and she loves the fabric. They feel like a teddy bear. Lands End says this is because the flannel is “brushed on both sides for ultimate softness.” The top has 3 buttons in front so she can put them on and take them off without ruining her hair, and the little ruffles onthe neck and sleeves are backed by thin, satin ribbon, so the elastic never bugs her. The pants have an elastic waist. They come in 4 patterns but if your daughter is anything like mine, she’ll want the ones covered in PUPPIES! (Little Scottie dogs in red, black and white.)

And last but not least, my little one got these penguin slippers from Lands End.

She is a penguin Freak! Her sheets have penguins, her walls have penguins, her locker magnets are penguins. And these come in so many shoe sizes any penguin freak can enjoy them.

But I know not everyone loves penguins. That’s why there are bears, dogs, ice skates, Scotty dogs, snowflakes, and ski boot styles too. You can find the right ones for your little guy or gal here. She says she loves them because they don’t slip off, even if she falls asleep in them. The bottom and sides are so well padded they are even comfy when she is walking around on the tile floor. Plus they are just so darn cute she gets tons of compliments on them. She loves that they are full body penguins and not just slippers with penguin heads on top.
