Lands End Keeps Mommy Cozy

As we feature all different types of Pajamas in October during National Pajama Month, gift giving for the holidays is on our minds. Many of my friends have had babies in the past few months, and here is a gift set that new moms and expecting moms will love.
Lands End offers a great “new mom” nightgown. They say it is “Soft, supportive, but never ever skimpy.” That’s a great way to describe this Solid Supima Tank Nightgown with Shelf Bra. The length covers everything, even when you bend over to move the toys left on the living room rug, and the inside hides a shelf bra, so you feel secure even when someone shoes up at the door unexpectedly. I like that the shoulder staps are wide - not like a tank top or cami. Hormone changes often call for cozy cotton but sleeveless options.
The heavy supima cotton is a soft but substantial interlock knit — no “see-through” worries here! The width, especially aorund the breasts, is generous - you may be able to order a size down, flattering the new mom who forgot she was a size small just 12 short months ago. Or, think of it as a perfect cut for the DD cup.
To top it off, we recommend the Women’s Regular Solid Supima Robe. It’s made of the same heavy cotton and comes in colors to match the gown. It is extra long - I don’t recommend it for women under 5′3″. It has a loop inside to hang it on the back of the bathroom door while showering and full-sized pockets on both sides.
And to round out your gift, try these fleece slippers with a cable knit look. They are easy to slip on without your hands, and feature anti-slip rubber bottoms. They are made from ThermaCheck®, outerwear-grade fleece, which Lands End says is twice as warm as standard fleece. All I know is that they are cozy as heck when I have to get the laundry from the garage! Available in pink, navy and mint green.
