Shapewear Made Sexy

No matter how sexy you look in that little black dress, taking off your clothes to reveal your entire body squished into a less-than-sexy shapewear tube is something most women would rather not experience. That’s why leading shapewear brand Sassybax designed their new “Pretty” Collection – shapewear designed to be seen, and designed to be sexy! Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr agrees, saying “How pretty!” (in response to the “Pretty” Control Brief and Control Thong).

Sassybax founder Amanda Horan Kennedy combined gorgeous lace from Austria with a silky touch, American made fabric that will keep you cool even in summer. The result was shapewear that looked more like lingerie.

The collection includes a full slip with built-in underwire lace bra (sized by band and cup size), camisole with built-in underwire lace bra, mid-thigh shaper bottom (a bike-shorts style to shape tummy, waist, hips bottom, and upper thigh), high rise body shaper (worn with your own bra), thong body suit, control brief with French-cut leg and a control thong with double tummy panel and rise that almost goes to the navel.

The piece that interests us the most? The thong body suit. It slims the tummy, waist, midriff and smoothes out bra bulges. You wear your own bra under it, and the bodysuit straps go over your shoulders like a jumper-style shapewear piece. It’s pretty, and the thong back eliminates panty lines, but we’re curious to hear from someone who has worn this piece on whether 4 straps on your shoulders is too much.

I’m not very familiar with Vedette but this looks way sexier than Spanx! Loving the Thong Bodysuit too – what a great idea! And the high-waist brief, very Mad Men.
