Product Review - the Spoylt Entice bra and hipster panty
Posted by Rachel on Dec 10th, 2008
Spoylt Lingerie went on hiatus back in 2005, but all new collections are back as of fall 2008 on spoylt.com. Designed by women for women, Spoylt is collectible, hand crafted, haute couture lingerie. This French-boudoir-inspired line consists of 22 new pieces including the Spoylt ENTICE set, in a sultry plum purple with elegant touches of black lace, purple sequins and ribbons. I have the bra, panties and camisole. I’m reviewing the bra and panties today.
The Look on the hanger: 10/10. This is a gorgeous set. The color is lush and the details are everywhere. I love the tiny seam up the front of the bra cup, the black eyelash lace on the top of the cups is echoed peeking out under the cups. The purple sequins on the straps don’t show up well in the photo so they were an unexpected surprise. The bows on the bra and panties are organza, so they are see through and light.
The Fit: 7/10. This balcony bra does it’s job -which is to say it flatters and pushes up. It is not a bra I would recommend for anyone to wear all day. The band is a stretchy unsupportive elastic - but for a couple hours of flirty fun in the bedroom it is great!
The panties are very flattering. The cut accentuates all my hip and butt curves. They sit low on the hip and offer a full coverage rear. The only problem I had was show-through. When these came in the mail and I opened the package, my husband and friend Cindy were both in the room. They both commented that it would be hard to wear these panties beyond the bedroom because of the detailing. Sure enough, even under jeans the bow at the hip leaves a bump you can see through fabric.
Both pieces were very true to size. I ordered a medium panty and 34D bra, and they fit just how I wanted them to.
The Feel: 7/10. The panties are silky and comfortable. The bra has the lightest padding I’ve ever seen - almost like a lightly lined training bra (in terms of padding, not cup size). But the sequins on the shoulders should be sewn just on the outside of the bra, where you see them. Instead the edge of the sequin strip tucks around to underneath the strap, and thus itched my shoulder the whole time I had the bra on and left a mark when I took it off. Also, where the strap connects with the cup, right near the armpit, there is a bit of the sequin strip and that itched. They could have used 2 inches less of sequins (on the edges) eliminating the itchy factor and saving themselves money in the process.
Overall: 9/10. I don’t think this collection is meant to be worn all day. For an evening of seduction it is the perfect gift. If it’s meant to be hidden under your work suit to make yourself feel sexy knowing what’s under there, they missed the mark. It’s just too itchy for all-day wear.

Oh MY Goodness…I wish I could review that! I am a bra fanatic…I love this bra! So pretty…do you know if they come in larger sizes F-FF? I know some bra manufacturers don’t make them in larger sizes…just curious?

Sorry, their web site says “Bras (Cup Sizes A to D)”.
But they do accept private commissions of pieces…
