Simone Pérèle infuses lace with Aloe!

Simone Pérèle has produced sophisticated lingerie since 1948. They started in a modest workshop near the Paris Opera house, and have become known for elegance, meticulous attention to detail, sensuality and unparalleled comfort.

Now they have increased your comfort with their new Aloe Bra! For thousands of years, people have used the gel from aloe vera leaves for healing and softening the skin. It isn’t just for sunburns anymore! Simone Perele has taken Aloe to a whole new level by infusing Aloe Vera directly into the lace of their Caressence collection bras. Simone also carries an extensive line of 6 different types of bras as well as 5 different types of panties. To continue her lace infusion to your feet, we suggest buying a foot creme with aloe to apply at night so your skin will be radiating from head to toe.

You’ll adore the softness and comfort you’ll experience when wearing a bra with micro-beads of Aloe Vera in a unique, soft lace – the finest Jacquard lace from France. Aside from the super soft fit you’ll benefit from skin-friendly hypoallergenic properties, ideal for the most sensitive skin. The Aloe Vera properties in the lace will last up to 100 washes.

The Caressence t-shirt bra collection features cups with “spacer foam”, a superior three-dimensional knit. This provides lightweight contouring that’s breathable, cool and comfortable, hugging your natural curves without adding any extra volume.

The Caressence collection includes a 3D Molded Bra, 3D Plunge Bra, 3D Soft Cup Bra, 3D Full Cup Bra, Control Body Suit with built-in 3D Molded underwire bra as well as matching Boyshorts, adorable Tanga panties, opaque-backed Bikini panties and a high-waisted, retro-look Control Brief – all trimmed in the finest Jacquard lace from France infused with aloe!

I have the 3D Plunge bra (top, left), which is like a basic underwire Tshirt bra but with a very low center gore so it won’t show under V-neck tops. It is invisible under form-fitting clothes. Even the lace, in nude, was hidden under white t-shirts. I like that it is lined to prevent nipple show through, but not with heavy padding. It has been light and comfy in the hot Florida summer! The lace of my bra is mostly along the outside of the band and straps, and backed with a fine mesh material – so don’t think you’ll get lace marks on your skin. The edges of the lace that do hit my skin are NOT ITCHY AT ALL! This is my go-to, everyday T-shirt bra when I don’t want push-up power.

Note: WebMD says, “People allergic to garlic, onions, and tulips are more likely to be allergic to aloe.”

5 Tips to Avoid Summer’s Biggest Bra Faux Pas

Bras can be your worst enemy, or your secret weapon, especially with summer’s wardrobe of flirty tops and dresses.  Simone Pérèle, makers of fine French lingerie since 1948, has seen many summers and countless bra mistakes. Here’s their lineup of the most common bra faux pas seen this summer, 2011:

  1. White under white: When it comes to bras, two whites don’t make a right. Always go for a nude bra under a white t-shirt or tank, or nude panties under white bottoms. We love Simone Pérèle’s Romance Push-Up in nude, which has a racerback option (another summer bra must-have).
  2. Falling strapless bras: Tired of the wiggle that comes from hoisting up your strapless bra every 15 minutes? So are we. Invest in one fabulous, nude, do-it-all strapless. Look for silicone to grip everywhere it can go along the inside of the bra, and firm, all-day support. The Today Show recently hailed Simone
    Pérèle’s Velia Strapless as a “summer must-have”.
  3. The double bubble: Perhaps one of the worst bra faux pas one can commit, the double bubble occurs when your bra is too small in the cup, and your breast tissue runneth over. This one is a simple fix: get a proper bra fitting! You can ask in department stores or small lingerie boutiques, but skip those mall chain stores. Women should get a bra fitting at least once a year, and you DON’T have to be NUDE to do it! Just wear your favorite, nonpadded bra when you go.
  4. Sagging Sally: Your ladies in a bit of a lull lately?  Not looking as perky under your summer tops?  If so, there’s a good chance your bra band size is too large. If you’re a 36, try going down to a 34. Your bra band should fit snuggly and firmly. This one step can give your entire bust a boost!
