Product Review - Awesome Freya sports bra!

Freya lingerie is dedicated to helping women with larger bra cup sizes find the right lingerie - that is both functional AND pretty, up to an H cup. I recently tried their Freya Active 4002 underwired sports bra for a few reasons:
1. It’s an encapsulation bra. If you don’t know what that means or why that is important for keeping your breasts perky, you haven’t read this article.
2. It’s made from the stuff that wicks away sweat. I work out 4-5 mornings/week. Wicking is good.
3. It’s made to fit women with full breats. Jogging on a treadmill with anything over a B cup must be done right!
The Look on the hanger: 6/10. This is not a gorgeous bra. But it’s a sports bra. I’m not going to be wearing it to dance in clubs, on dates, or for romantic evenings. I’ll be wearing it to sweat, with some sort of t-shirt over, so that is OK. The look is kind of retro - think Marilyn Monroe in a bullet bra. It’s sturdy and a bit shiny. I like the slight inverted V in the band under the bust that you can just make out in the photo above.
The Fit: 9/10. This bra does it’s job AND puts in overtime! The 34 was a snug 34, I can only get the last hooks done, but really that’s how a bra should fit. Then over time as the elastic stretches out you can move in a hook or 2 before having to buy a new bra.
While at the gym it held my boobs in place throughout my whole workout. Jogging was fine, as were the upper body weight machines, which you KNOW were not designed for people with breasts. When I plank on the mat on the floor I usually feel like I am giving the whole world a view of my hanging boobs, but with this bra they were kept tight to my chest where they belonged.
I only took one point off here because the way the straps are cut in front, they can be seen under my workout tanks (as shown here). And the way the cups are seamed diagonally in front, they can be seen through my workout T’s.
The bra features ample armholes for great movement and a supportive chest band underneath the breasts. There is hidden underwire, but the U of the wire is set very wide. It seems to go slightly below and around the breast, not right up against the breast. The way the bra is sewn on the inside, with thicker seams and trimming, creates a bra that is sturdier and, I think, more comfortable. This also helps to eliminate jiggling and bouncing during your workout. Here’s a photo of the INSIDE so you can see what I mean:
The Feel: 10/10. It’s sturdy & comfortable. My breasts are snuggled up tight. I’ve washed and re-worn this bra and it still feels like new. There is no digging or poking. The straps feel fine on my shoulders. It is not a soft cotton sports bra you pull over your head and wear alone with a cute belly button sticking out. This is the Sports Bra Mama coming to kick boob bouncing butt! I was shaped and lifted, not compressed or smushed into a uni-boob.
Overall: 9/10. Thanks Freya for letting me focus on results instead of boob bouncing!
